WELCOME TO THE ESSIM SPATIAL CONSERVATION ACTION PLAN SITE The Eastern Scotian Shelf Integrated Management (ESSIM) Spatial Conservation Action Plan is a next step toward implementing many of the objectives set out in the ESSIM Plan. This Action Plan was initiated by environmental non-governmental organizations in partnership with the ESSIM Planning Office, but all interested organizations and individuals are encouraged to become involved. Through the ESSIM Plan, stakeholders and governments collectively arrived at a set of objectives for healthy ecosystems, communities and economies on the Eastern Scotian Shelf. The aim of the Action Plan is to work together to identify options for building on and adding to the existing spatial conservation measures, making best use of these tools to help meet the shared objectives. This web page is a place to share information as the Action Plan develops. An email list will also be established to share ideas, information and updates.
