The EAC is looking for a Finance Manager to lead, manage, and mentor the Finance Team, ensuring robust financial systems and controls to safeguard organizational assets. The Finance Manager will liaise across the organization, including seven Action Teams, Fundraising, and Operations, and advise at the Senior Leadership and Board level, working to facilitate risk mitigation and informed decision-making at all levels. They will lead in a collaborative manner across projects, effectively communicating complex financial data to diverse audiences.

The EAC’s Climate Leadership Badge program is a collaboration with HalifACT that invites and supports HRM residents to take the next step into leadership on climate action in their communities. The Climate Leadership Program Officer will play a key support role in the logistics, administration, planning, promotion and documentation of events and workshops related to Climate Action Badge program events, as well as assisting the Community Engagement team in planning and executing other EAC events as needed, including the EAC Reno-versary events and the People’s Parade for Life on Earth. 

This is a term position from March 2026-October 2026.

The EAC is looking for a passionate communications professional with a proven ability to create engaging, thoughtful content across a variety of platforms. With a firm understanding of communications trends, the right candidate is a self-starter looking to use their skills at social media management and digital advertising to help fight for a just, sustainable future here in Mi’kma’ki and beyond. They thrive in a fast paced, collaborative work environment and have a keen eye for new opportunities to create meaningful engagement with audiences. 

This is a temporary position, covering a leave from April 2026-January 2027.

The EAC is looking for an Energy Officer to support our Electric School Bus Project. Working with the EAC’s Energy Coordinator, the Energy Officer will help to shape the direction of and deliver EAC’s Electric School Bus program. This includes building community support for school bus electrification, Vehicle to Grid (V2G) technologies, as well as centering and elevating the decarbonization of student transportation within public discourse. They will coordinate stakeholder coordination, develop public materials, conduct research and engage in administrative tasks to support the implementation of the Ecology Action Centre’s fleet electrification initiatives.
