One Night • One Community • One Delicious Way to Make a Difference
You are invited to the inaugural year of Appetite for Action, a one-day event when exceptional restaurants donate a portion of proceeds from their food & beverage sales to the Ecology Action Centre.
All you have to do is go out to dine on March 11! By enjoying a meal at one of our partnering restaurants, you’ll be supporting these local businesses and the EAC’s work. (So, make sure you invite your friends, colleagues and neighbours to join you too!)

🍽️ Stay tuned this week as we announce our full lineup of partner locations!
Nestled in Halifax’s North End, Agricola Street Brasserie elevates dining to an inspired culinary experience like no other — all with a cozy, welcoming vibe in a uniquely renovated printing shop from the early 1900s.
We merge a world of flavours with the best local fare drawn from both land and sea, and offer a relaxing dining experience with an emphasis on exceeding expectations. From our daily fresh-baked bread, in-house charcuterie and pasta, to sustainable seafood and local beef and lamb, our specials change daily to take full advantage of fresh, abundant local ingredients.
The Bonfire is Halifax's only tip-free, profit-sharing restaurant! We're serving comfort food off the grill in a cozy environment without any of the pressures of having to tip for great food and service. We've designed our menu to accommodate all kinds of allergies and dietary restrictions safely so everyone can feel good about a visit to The Bonfire!
At Chain Yard Urban Cidery we are passionate about two things: cider and food! Come for the cider, stay for our fried chicken — which you won't believe is gluten free!
On March 11, Chain Yard will donate $1 per cider and 25% of food sales to EAC!
EDNA is a small neighbourhood bistro that celebrates seasonal, locally sourced ingredients, supporting local businesses and sustainable food practices.
A small restaurant and cocktail bar in the North End of Halifax established in 2013, Field Guide is dedicated to bridging the gap between diners and their food through an open concept kitchen and passionate service. With an emphasis on supporting local farmers and producers, Field Guide is a place to gather.
The Oxford Taproom is a laid-back, community-driven taproom and café in the heart of Halifax, pouring fresh Garrison beer. It’s a cozy spot to grab a drink, hang with friends, catch an event or just relax with a coffee. Best of all, it’s dog friendly — so your four-legged buddy is always welcome!
On March 11 (12–11 p.m.), $1 from every pint of beer sold will be donated to EAC!
2 Crows Brewing Co. is a Halifax-based brewery founded in 2017 by Mark & Kelly Huizink and brewer Jeremy Taylor, built on curiosity, creativity, and really good beer. We brew with intention - always evolving, always learning - and we’re proud to create a welcoming, inclusive space that celebrates community, diversity, and the people who make this place what it is.
On March 11, the 2 Crows taproom on Brunswick St. will donate $1 per pint and 25% of food sales to the EAC!
