Read Badia's Bio
As an energy coordinator with the EAC Badia researches, advocates for and engages Nova Scotian communities on sustainable, renewable and affordable energy pathways for the Atlantic region. Being born and raised in Nova Scotia she has seen the impact energy poverty and a high-emitting grid has on communities and the environment in Nova Scotia. With a bachelor's in political science and a master's in environmental studies, she specializes in environmental policy and sustainable transitional justice and has dedicated her career to ensuring that no one is left behind in a green energy transition. Through both facets of her work she champions a sustainable, affordable future while holding government and big emitters accountable to all Nova Scotians.
When she isn't working Badia loves to sing in Polaris, a Choir for Change, or cuddle up with her two cats while she reads.
