Making Nova Scotia's COMFIT Work for Communities - October 13, 2011

Want to generate renewable energy in your community? Learn how to build a successful community-based renewable energy project in the new Nova Scotia Community Feed-in Tariff program. We will have Judith Lipp of TREC Renewable Energy Co-op in Ontario, and David Swan of Colchester-Cumberland Windfield, successful builders of community-owned renewable energy projects, to explain the challenges, pitfalls and success strategies. The Department of Energy will also be on hand to explain the program, and there will be plenty of opportunity to ask questions. This event is of interest to community power advocates, people and groups who want to do a COMFIT project, and organizations that can help plan, manage and finance these projects. It will be held in central Halifax on October 13 from 9:30 am to 4:00 pm.

Exact location TBA.

Cost: $40.
