The Ecology Action Centre is part of the Sandy Lake - Sackville River Regional Park Coalition, which is fighting for the future of this rare wilderness. The coalition is calling for the lands and waters next to Sandy Lake Regional Park to be incorporated into the park in order to protect the area's outstanding natural features and biodiversity, which are being threatened by fast-tracked development nearby.
