Nancy Anningson | Ecology Action Centre

Nancy Anningson

Nancy has been working as an ‘expert generalist’ in the non-profit sector in Nova Scotia since 2000, conducting research, designing and implementing program evaluation, managing projects and finances, facilitating stakeholder consultations and analyzing and developing policy.

As Senior Coastal Adaptation Coordinator, Nancy works with community members and organizations, municipal, provincial and federal politicians and civil servants to identify coastal issues and strengthen coastal protection policies.

The Ecology Action Centre is currently working across the province to increase awareness of coastal impacts and identify opportunities to support coastal adaptation.  Nancy is also leading the Canada-wide Educating Coastal Communities about Sea-level Rise (ECoAS) project and is providing support and advice as the NS Department of Environment creates a Coastal Protection Act for Nova Scotia.
