Read Shreetee's Bio
Shreetee grew up in Mauritius which is a small island off the east coast of Madagascar in the Indian Ocean. They have been living in Kjipuktuk, the unceded territory of the Mi'kmaq Nation, for the past couple years and are very excited to be part of the energy team. They have always been interested in the ways people co-exist with the environment which led them to do their Bachelor in Environmental studies at Saint Mary's University. They have always been surrounded by nature’s magic but also witnessed firsthand its powerful and sometimes destructive forces. As part of this role, they are excited to connect with various communities and to imagine and work towards a more equitable, just and sustainable world. They also love to read and dance and want to explore the ways of storytelling through dance and the arts.
