Nova Scotia needs better forestry. The Natural Resource Strategy and the Lahey Report both identify widespread, heavily mechanized clear-cutting as a major threat to the health of our forests and the survival of at-risk species like the mainland moose, the pine martin and several types of migratory songbirds.
