Update on Wednesday, Jan. 29: Following an outcry of concerns from the public and members of the fishing industry, on Monday, Jan.

At the end of September, the Nova Scotia Department of Environment and Climate Change circulated troubling changes to the Nova Scotia Wetland Conservation Policy (the “Policy”), specifically concerning Wetlands of Special Significance (WSS), to its staff. The changes were effective immediately.  

The Ecology Action Centre is pleased with the release of Canada’s National Adaptation Strategy.  

Federal budget makes welcome investments in a fair, sustainable future for Canada, but large gaps remain on efficiency and supports for workers and low-income individuals.
