A note on volunteering in the time of COVID:
Our office on Fern Lane is currently closed to the public, and the majority of meetings and events are happening online. While this puts many of our usual volunteer opportunities on hold, there are still ways to volunteer remotely. Several of our action committees are meeting via Zoom, and the volunteer newsletter will still bring you online calls-to-action for petition and letter-writing campaigns, as well as requests for help doing things like phone calls, transcription, note-taking, research, and other tasks that can be done from home.
If you have any questions about volunteering, please contact Joanna Bull, Community Engagement Coordinator, at firstname.lastname@example.org. Thank you!
Fill out your volunteer profile to let us know what you’re interested in and to register for our regular newsletter of volunteer opportunities. You'll get an email about once every two weeks.

Volunteer Action Committees
We have several volunteer-led action committees that meet on a monthly basis to work on specific issues. For information on when they meet, what they work on and who to contact to get involved, please click here.
What can I do as a volunteer?
There are many different ways to get involved, from helping with an event to leading an action committee. Depending on your interest and capacity, you can choose the level of involvement that works for you. Learn more...
Volunteer Training & Skill-building
We offer regular opportunities for volunteers to learn and build their capacity, such as our Power Up! Volunteer Leadership Training program, and bi-monthly UpSkilling Nights. Join the volunteer email list to find out about these opportunities when they come up!
