An educational workshop for parents and kids to explore the benefits of electric school buses on children's health and the environment!
This event will feature tours of a Lion Electric school bus, test rides of electric vehicles provided by the Clean Foundation and a hybrid presentation from experts in the health and electric vehicle sectors, who will guide parents through the negative health impacts of gas and diesel-powered buses, and discuss how a switch to electric can help protect the health of your children and the environment.

Free snacks, childcare and youth programming will be available on site for in-person attendees.
Electric school buses are rapidly expanding across the country, but Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and Newfoundland have been slower to adopt this important change. Experts from the Ecology Action Centre, the Canadian Association of Physicians for the Environment, the Conservation Council of New Brunswick and NB Lung will also be launching a new report on the troubling health effects of gas and diesel-powered buses and introducing a toolkit designed for parents, teachers, school staff, bus drivers, students and policymakers to take action.
Workshop schedule
11:30 a.m. -1 p.m. – Check out a Lion Electric School bus, test drive an electric vehicle with Next Ride and learn all about electric bikes with Clean Foundation and the Ecology Action Centre.
1 - 2 p.m. – Join a hybrid presentation from experts in the health and the electric vehicle sectors. Activities for kids will be available for in-person attendees.
2 - 3:30 p.m. – Enjoy food and explore exhibits from the Ecology Action Centre, Conservation Council of New Brunswick, Canadian Association of Physicians for the Environment and Clean Foundation. More electric vehicle test rides and Lion Electric School Bus tours will be available as well.
