Shores of Sandy Lake bordered by long grasses and trees

Guided Hike at Sandy Lake in Support of Hike-a-Thon

Join us for this guided hike at Sandy Lake, led by Jill on the EAC's Built Environment Team!

There is no cost to participate in this hike, but donations in support of EAC’s Hike-a-Thon fundraiser are welcome! Cash will be accepted at the event, or donations can be made online.

When: Saturday, September 19, from 9:30 a.m. - 12 p.m.
Where: Sandy Lake

This is a short, moderately challenging hike at a moderate pace. Facilities at this event are limited, with no on-site bathroom. 🥾🌲

Sandy Lake is a key part of HRM's green network, with pockets of mature forest and habitat for rare and endangered species. Learn about what makes this ecosystem so special, and what we can do to conserve it! (Please note that this is not a Hike the Greenbelt event.)

Ready to get into the woods? Arrive early to learn about tick safety and bite prevention and use repellant spray, all from the folks at PureGard!

Please sign up using the form below. Registered participants will receive an email two days before the event with the meeting location, directions and final details.
