Read Mimi's Bio

From spending childhood weekends at her grandparents’ farm, to working in Banff National Park during the summers between school, to WWOOFing (Worldwide Opportunities on Organic Farms) in Canada and abroad, and to exploring urban parks during her free time, Mimi continually finds ways to meaningfully connect with nature and engage in life-long learning. Mimi holds a Master’s Degree in Criminology; her research applies concepts from the emerging field of ‘Green’ Criminology (which studies human-caused ecological crimes and harms) and advocates for the protection of, and justice for, freshwater in Canada.

Mimi works with both of EAC’s Coastal and Wilderness teams.
